Smart Reminders (for positive daily routine building, check ins and accountability)

Some side notes before you read on.

Everything will be listed underneath headings to help make it easier for you to find. Also, I’m still in the process of setting up this website, so bear with me.

There might be some typos that slip through, especially if I’m writing this when my ADHD meds are wearing off.

These Smart Assistance ‘scripts’ won’t necessarily be written the way you need them. They are here to be used as a guide – if you would like to trial any of them, feel free to copy paste them into you smart assistant app. Quick note: with the Google Assistance, I’ve had to put in a “command” in order to have the routines play automatically at at the particular time of the day you would like it to play. I’ve found that if you can view the command as being a title of the routine then it’ll be easier to keep things organised.

I really hope this page is helpful! Please share it around with anyone you feel might benefit from this kind of support.

Please keep in mind, that the prompts/smart assistant reminders below, do not replace anything that a doctor or qualified medical professional has advised you to do to manage your condition. These prompts should not be relied upon as there are many factors that could affect their effectiveness, Eg: they will not play without an internet connection and you may not be home to hear them.

So, just see them as a tool that may help assist you. I am not a doctor and therefore do recommend you speak to your therapist, psychologist, OT, GP or psychiatrist before implementing any new strategies such as this one. It might be a good idea to let them read over this website first to make sure they understand the idea behind it and then ask if they think you might benefit from trying this out. Your treating medical practitioner (or any mental health professional) should always be your first point of contact if you are experiencing a change in your behaviour or an increase or decrease in symptoms.

Alright! So now that all of that is out of the way, let’s start with our first section:
